Royal Society of Chemistry, Corrosion Chemistry Faraday Discussion ( 13th – 15th April)

By Carol Glover 23 April 2015

SPECIFIC’s Corrosion Group attended the Corrosion Chemistry Faraday Discussion held at the Royal Society of Chemistry’s London residence, Burlington House. The discussions involved high profile speakers and a novel format where speakers presented work for five minutes each with the remaining time in each session left for the audience to grill the speakers.

Prof Geraint Williams and Prof James Sullivan gave talks, which were very well received. Nathan Cooze and undergraduate student Callum Gallagher were on hand for questioning on their work on novel time-lapse microscopy. Dr Carol Glover, Natalie Wint, Tom Lewis and Ronald Clarke all took part in the poster session. The conference dinner involved the traditional Loving Cup Ceremony.
