Achieving Zero Carbon buildings using Steel

This exciting and innovative conference is being organised to raise awareness of the environmental benefits of using steel over competitive materials in the quest for achieving Zero carbon buildings and to encourage wider use of steels in future construction products. The conference has been organised by IOM Communications on behalf of the The Iron and Steel Society, a division of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining in association with the South Wales Materials Association.

The conference will run over one day and will feature technical presentations (aimed at the key stakeholders involved in the Construction sector e.g. Clients, architects, construction companies, estate managers, materials producers and processors, energysuppliers and distributors), plus Keynote presentations delivered by renowned Industry professionals. Day 2 will comprise visits to the SPECIFIC IKC at Baglan Bay, Port Talbot and have a tour of the new £400 Mi Swansea University Science and Innovation campus.

Delegates will also have the option to attend the South Wales Materials Association Dinner on 25 June 2015.
