The SPECIFIC Innovation and Knowledge Centre are proud to announce that we have won The Engineer – Collaborate to Innovate award for the category for Built Environment.
The Collaborate to Innovate awards showcase the best examples of innovative, technology-led collaborations across the manufacturing industry and academia. Organised by The Engineer, the awards were judged by leading figures from across industry, aimed at identifying some of the UK's most impressive and innovative examples of engineering collaboration. The winners in each category formed the speakers list at the Collaborate to Innovate conference held on 17th November. The conference brought together a panel of world-leading experts sharing their latest thinking on key technology and manufacturing developments.
SPECIFIC IKC Commercial Engagement Director Jan Bell said,
“We’re proud to have won this prestigious award from The Engineer. Collaboration and innovation is at the heart of everything we do at the SPECIFIC Innovation and Knowledge Centre. Through partnership and demonstration projects, SPECIFIC is progressing its vision to create buildings that can generate, store and release their own solar energy. Our diverse workforce of academic researchers, industry experts and collaborations with SME’s to multinational companies are working towards this common goal by commercialisation through demonstration and being recognised for our contribution to the Built Environment is an honour.”
